Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a screenshot?

Drop an image or a screen recording onto the window, click the preview to browse your files, press ⌘O, or paste from the clipboard with ⌘V. You can line up to six screenshots in one image.

How do I export?

Use the export button to save a PNG or JPEG file, copy the image to the clipboard, or drag it straight out of the export button into another app.

Can I make App Store screenshots?

Yes. The iPhone, iPad and Mac formats export at the exact pixel sizes App Store Connect expects: 1320 × 2868 px, 2064 × 2752 px and 2880 × 1800 px.

Can I style several images at once?

Yes. Set up the look you want, then use batch mode in the export panel to apply it to a whole set of images and save them to a folder.

Do videos keep their sound?

No. Screen recordings are exported as MP4 files without an audio track.

Are my settings kept between launches?

Each launch starts from the default settings. The color palettes you save are kept.

Is an internet connection required?

No. Screen Atelier works entirely offline.

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded or collected.
